Creating and securing more Jobs and Apprentices

Craig's Jobs Fairs

During my campaign I pledged to do all I could to help promote and secure more local jobs for residents.

Having the security of work makes the world of difference to families. I am delighted that North Warwickshire and Bedworth has very low unemployment.

I continue to hold jobs fairs across the constituency bringing businesses and organisations from our region to showcase the career opportunities available to local residents. These have proved to be a huge success and very popular - keep a look out on this website or my Facebook Page for details of the next jobs fair.

I have also ensured a focus on those with disabilities who are able to work are given job opportunities in our area. My jobs fairs include vacancies focussing on, and support for, those with disabilities.

Along with North Warwickshire Borough Council I held a business breakfast event for local companies to highlight the financial, operational and social benefits of being a Disability Confident Employer.

The Conservatives have helped create over 2 million jobs since 2010 and employment is at a record high nationally, we are also aiming to create 2 million more apprenticeships to support young people in their careers. We have also gone further and cut income tax for 31 million hard working people. Finally we are supporting those on the lowest pay by introducing the National Living Wage and increasing the minimum hourly rate.
