A local bakery which serves the Grendon and Baddesley community has got the go ahead to expand with work commencing next month.
W.H Gaytons & Sons was established in 1919 on the site that is still being used today being the heart of the community of Baddesley and Grendon and has 16 employees. There has been 3 generations of Master Bakers and it has come to the time to move the bakery on to prepare for the 4th generation and to be able to expand the number of employees.
Dave Gayton, Proprietor of the business said:
"We would like to say a big thank you to Cllr Andy Wright and Craig Tracey MP for all of their help and support with the project and planning permission. With planning permission being granted we will have more space for new machinery and training of new staff which will benefit the local community and surrounding areas."
