Craig was honoured to be invited to lay a wreath at the renaming of Rye Piece Ringway to Sergeant Simon Valentine Way today.
It was a lovely occasion and there were some very moving tributes from some of his colleagues and representatives of the Royal Fusiliers, who had travelled from around the country to be there.
As ever, there was a fantastic turnout from local people as well to mark the occasion.
Sergeant Valentine’s Mum, Carol, unveiled the signpost and has worked tirelessly to make this happen and Craig is delighted that she’s finally got her wish and his name will be remembered for generations to come, not just by Bedworth, but also everyone who passes through it.
Well done also to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for helping to make this happen.
