Small Business Saturday is taking place on 2nd December, it is an annual event which encourages people to shop locally and celebrates the contributions that small businesses make to the community, economy and jobs.
This year I will be in Bedworth to celebrate Small Business Saturday and would welcome the chance to visit and promote your small business; please do get in touch on craig.tracey.mp@parliament.uk
Small businesses are so important to our community and across the UK employ over 12.5 million people. From high-tech manufacturing firms to bakers, retailers, restaurants and social enterprises, the UK is home to a record number of small businesses.
For last year’s Small Business Saturday more than £717 million was spent on the day in small independent businesses and this initiative is growing.
It is vital that we support our local high streets and small businesses and shop locally where we can. As a former small business owner myself I can appreciate the challenges but also the rewarding nature of running your own business.
