An Office for National Statistics study has found that our local community has been ranked second in the whole of the UK for life satisfaction.
Craig Tracey, Local Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire, commented:
“It is really encouraging that people in North Warwickshire have high ratings for happiness. Actually I am a little disappointed we did not come first as, I'm sure most residents would argue that North Warwickshire is the best place to live in the UK!”
Mr Tracey put the high rating down to a number of factors:
“Locally we have a really high level of employment with a lot of opportunities as large businesses invest in jobs, North Warwickshire has some beautiful countryside, historic market towns and popular villages, high performing schools and good amenities; but most importantly the local people are fantastic. I am very proud of our community.”
In the Life Satisfaction survey North Warwickshire came second only to Craven, a Yorkshire Dales district. The Annual ONS Survey measures happiness of local people, with North Warwickshire residents rating themselves as 8.36 out of 10 for life satisfaction.
