MP for North Warwickshire, Craig Tracey, is working with HS2 Action Groups in Kingsbury and Polesworth to host information events for North Warwickshire residents affected by the HS2 phase 2b route between Birmingham and Leeds which was announced in November last year.
HS2 have invited local people who live close to the proposed route to take part in two consultations, one on compensation and one on the changes to the route which was originally proposed in 2013.
In his longstanding involvement in the fight against HS2, Craig and his team have built up a considerable amount of expertise in negotiating with HS2 and he is keen to share this with residents affected by the scheme.
At the events, large maps of the affected areas and copies of the consultation questionnaires will be available. Craig will also be providing advice sheets on how local people can get their concerns across to HS2 effectively.
Details of the events are as follows:
- KINGSBURY, Kingsbury Methodist Church, Friday 10th February, 2pm to 8pm.
- POLESWORTH, BIRCHMOOR AND DORDON, Birchwood Primary School, Friday 17th February, 4pm to 8pm.
Craig will also be holding an Open Surgery in Warton at the Village Hall on Saturday 18th February between 10am and 12pm. This event is open to all residents of Warton to discuss HS2 or any other issue they would like to raise with him.
