North Warwickshire’s Parliamentary representative Craig Tracey will hold a series of public events for residents in January and December. This follows housing proposals outlined in the Borough Council’s local plan.
Mr Tracey explained:
“My principles on planning have always been 1) local residents should be consulted and 2) green belt should be protected.
“With the local housing figures released it is vital that local people can have their say on any proposals in our communities. My public information and advice events will do just that and are being held across my constituency.”
The Local MP has regularly raised concerns in Parliament on housing developments, calling on green belt protection, for guaranteed infrastructure improvements with significant new developments and for a review of housing needs following Brexit and a likely fall in migration once the UK leaves the EU. Mr Tracey has also expressed that consideration needs to be given to those, particularly young families, who are trying to get on the housing ladder for the first time.
The public meetings are entitled ‘How to consult effectively’ and will provide residents with information on housing proposals as well as how to engage with the development process.
Craig Tracey MP will fold public information and advice events for residents on the following dates:
- Dordon Library, 4-8pm Wednesday 21st December
- Polesworth Tithe Barn, 4-8pm Thursday 22nd December
- Coleshill Town Hall, 5-7pm Thursday 5th January
- Shuttington Village Hall, 5-9pm Friday 6th January
- Atherstone Red Lion, 10am-2pm Saturday 7th January
