Jobs Fair, Maiden Speech and Summer Budget

July proved to be a busy month in the constituency and Parliament with co-hosting a Jobs Fair for local people, a Conservative Budget and giving my Maiden Speech in the Commons amongst my highlights.

Craig Tracey MP opens Atherstone Office for constituents

Local Member of Parliament Craig Tracey has opened his Constituency Office in Atherstone.The local businessman was elected by residents in May in what was one of the most significant results the general election.

Craig Tracey MP: “This is a budget for working people in North Warwickshire”

North Warwickshire & Bedworth’s voice in Parliament has expressed his support for the summer budget that was announced by the Chancellor today. The significant announcements were described as being for ‘working people’ and the budget has been heralded by commentators as ‘one of the most significant in recent times.’

Voting in the Commons

Business in the House of Commons has really started to move and in the last couple of weeks have seen the first votes of the new Parliament. 

My first weeks in Parliament

I am humbled to be elected as your representative in Parliament and will be dedicated to our community. It means even more to me and my family that I am MP for my home constituency.We have a number of important issues ahead of us locally including fighting against HS2, ensuring that the George Eliot Hospital is properly supported and giving residents a voice over controversial planning developments. We must carry on the hard work that saw local unemployment drop to a record-low and ensure that local businesses continue to thrive.
