North Warwickshire MP Craig Tracey personally submitted petitions to HS2 from local Action Groups and Parish Councils today.
The local MP who lives in Shuttington, close to where the train line is proposed to go, submitted his own personal petition along with those from Kingsbury Parish Council, Kingsbury & District Action Group, Middleton Parish Council, Water Orton HS2 Action Group, Water Orton Parish Council, Lea Marston Parish Council and Middleton Action Group.
Craig commented:
“We are continuing the fight against HS2 which will have a devastating impact on our local community. Action groups in North Warwickshire have a democratic right to voice their concerns about the project, mitigation and lack of information. I will continue to support our local action groups who are working ever so hard for our community.”
The petitions included concerns over construction, mitigation, traffic flow, flooding and consultation.
HS2 Ltd will respond to the petitions individually later in the year.
