The Fair Votes for All campaign has welcomed Craig Tracey, Conservative candidate for North Warwickshire & Bedworth, as a Patron. This campaign is calling for English votes for English issues to be introduced into the House of Commons as soon as possible.
Craig commented:
“This is simply a matter of fairness for people in North Warwickshire & Bedworth whose voice in Parliament is currently diluted by Scottish MPs. Why should Scottish MPs be allowed to vote on laws only affecting England but English MPs are not allowed to vote on issues only affecting Scotland?
“Local people know that this is not a fair deal, English and Welsh voter’s are not on an equal footing with voters in Scotland. We should be able to decide our own priorities in our NHS and in our schools.”
“Unlike Labour who are determined to put their own political interest ahead of delivering fairness, I am determined to sort this out.”
Graham Stuart MP, Chairman of the Fair Votes for All campaign, said:
“I am glad to welcome Craig Tracey as a Patron of the campaign. Craig is a fantastic local representative who is standing up for North Warwickshire & Bedworth As more powers are handed over to the Scottish Parliament, this basic constitutional unfairness cannot be ignored any longer.”
