First visit of 2016 to the George Eliot

I made my first visit of 2016 to the George Eliot Hospital last week to discuss a wide range of issues relating to local care, the overuse of A&E services in Winter and the current Junior Doctor Contract issue. GEH is urging local people to only use A&E in the instance of a real emergency. They have recently released the following important information:

Travel Finesse praised by local MP on Small Business Saturday

A local small business located in Bedworth Civic Hall was visited by Craig Tracey, North Warwickshire’s Member of Parliament, for Small Business Saturday.Small Business Saturday is an initiative to encourage people to shop locally, promote local businesses and the work that they do. Now entering its third year, SBS is the UK's most successful small business campaign. Last year, 16.5 million people shopped in a small independent business, spending more than £500 million on the day.

Local MPs welcome Network Rail decision over Daw Mill

North Warwickshire & Bedworth and Nuneaton’s voices in Parliament, Craig Tracey and Marcus Jones, have praised Network Rail’s announcement that they will no longer pursue Daw Mill as a location for a Railway Sleeper Factory. The local MPs had met with Ministers to lobby against National Rail going forward with the plans.

On Wednesday, MPs were asked to vote on whether there should be an extension of the air strikes currently being carried out in Iraq, into Syria.
